The library was packed today for the last PIE at Lunchtime talk of the academic year, by Alex Irwin of London based talent agency, Markham, Froggatt& Irwin.
Alex came to Putney to explain the agency’s role in representing actors for film, television, theatre and their commercial endeavours, both in the UK and abroad.
Alex talked about her work on the film”12 Years a Slave” with Chiwetel Ejiofor, then a relatively unknown actor; work which began a whole seven years before the film first hit our screens.
It’s not just about”stardom”, Alex explained,”It’s about the storytelling… making the stories that resonate and open up people’s worlds and viewpoints.”
Many thanks for a fascinating afternoon.
