Bursaries & Scholarships

Although we are academically selective, we are “means blind” and do everything we can to ensure that girls with promise are able to benefit from a Putney education regardless of their parents’ ability to afford fees. Every 11+ application is automatically considered for an Academic Scholarship and these are awarded on merit.  We also offer Sport and Music scholarships.

Occasional Vacancies

Places sometimes become available in all year groups across both the Junior and Senior schools, when families move out of the area for example. Please do contact the Admissions department to find out whether a vacancy currently exists.

We welcome applications from sisters of girls who already attend the school. However, places are allocated on merit only.

A real sense of friendliness, looking out for each other and kindness is palpable

The Good Schools Guide

Come and Play is a fantastic opportunity for pupils new to Putney High School to experience what it is like to play music at the school and to meet some of our current music scholars and teaching staff. This event is open to all pupils who will be entering Year 5 or 6 in September 2018 and does not constitute any part of the 11+ entrance assessments.

Our results are exceptional. Putney students go on to some of the finest universities, art colleges and conservatoires around the world...

The journey starts here

As an eco-friendly school, we are fortunate to benefit from excellent public transport links, and operate several school bus routes from around South West London.

About us

Ours is a culture of inspiration, innovation, energy and creativity in teaching, and this character shapes the learning of our pupils.

Putney pupils are spirited, vibrant and learn to think for themselves, but they also know how to have fun, and most importantly, to really enjoy their time at school.
