What do Old Girls do for Putney?

.

Attend an event

The easiest thing you can do is… attend one of our events! Whether at Putney or one of the wider GDST events, we would love for you to come along and meet us and other alumnae. Find all the forthcoming events here.

Volunteer to organise your year group’s reunion

Bring people together for reunions: we ask all our Head Girl teams to take on this role but you can sign up even if you weren’t a Head Girl. We will call upon you every 5 years to bring your class together, so all you need to do is keep your details up to date, and we will be in touch with you when your celebration years come up.

Are you at University?

We are always looking for recent leavers to take part in alumnae lunches (run by the Putney Careers department) to help Sixth Formers make decisions about their future. Email Ms Norman to take part.

Speak to Putney students at school

As well as alumnae lunches for recent leavers, there are opportunities to share your expertise and experience. Sign up to be a speaker at the school to help with careers or teaching and learning (Careers Focus evenings, lunchtime PIE talks) or running workshops. Email Ms Heap to sign up to speak.

Take part in the biennial Careers Fair

We'd be delighted to welcome any old girls as "stall holders" from a variety of careers backgrounds on Wednesday 1 March 2017, 7-9 pm. It is a very informal event, but very useful to the students who attend. Pupils in Years 9 -13 are able to visit various career based stalls to talk to participants about their career choices.

Please email Miss Keeble or Ms Heap by 8 January to take part.

Opportunities to help at GDST level

We offer a lot of opportunities to get involved with other alumnae and current pupils, but there are plenty of ways to make the most of the wider Girls’ Day School Trust Alumnae Network. Go to the GDST website to find out more.

  1. Become a careers mentor
  2. Become a university ambassador
  3. Become an international ambassador

Tell us your news

Tell us your news and get a mention on our Alumnae News page! This means you will only receive invitations to events which are relevant to you. We might also like to mention your story on #MondayMotivation on our facebook page.

Donate to projects that support the school

There are many ways to support the school, and one way to do this is to take part in the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund helps us to achieve a number of modest but important projects each year, projects that make an immediate impact and which enrich the academic life and broaden the educational development of all our girls.
